The Ministry of Minerals and Energy is seeking expressions of interest for consulting services to carry out a wind measurement campaign supporting the pre-development of a planned wind farm. The services cover a preliminary site-wide wind measurement campaign followed by location-specific investigations based on the proposed wind farm layout. The call is open to consulting firms with at least ten years of experience in wind resource measurement campaigns and energy yield assessments for utility-scale wind projects, and firms may propose association with other firms.

The Ministry of Minerals and Energy, through its Projects and Energy Development Unit (PEDU), is procuring consulting services for topographic, hydrological and route surveys of a planned wind farm site. The assignment also covers an assessment of routes suitable for transporting wind turbine components and a capacity-building seminar on using the study reports. Consulting firms and consortiums are invited to express interest, and selection will follow the World Bank’s CS-CQS method.
